Hi folks, iv had my car for a lil over a month now, when i brough the car (sti version 3) it had front fog lights fitted, now i know that sti's didnt come with front fog lights, and also another thing that puzzled me was that it has a front fog switch inside, which can turn the ff and tail lights on without the dipped head lights on, before anyone says it is 100% a sti 3 the vin plate is a sti and so is everything else on the car, now what i wanna know is did the sti's have a blacking plate fitted in place of the where the ff switch is, because i'm gonna remove the ff and replace with sti front covers, and use the switch for a rear fog light.

As it is an import, it sounds like someone has added some lights and extra electrics to get it through a MOT

i thought that but when the front fog switch is engaged it lights up the rear tail lights only and not bright engough for a rear fog

Not really answering the question you want to know, but my sti v3 had front fog lights under the covers when i got it from Japan.

yeah tony i thought it might of been a factory option, since nothing on it seems bodged on. bish were the fog light covers u had coving ur ff the oem ones or after market?

I've got that switch on my V4 STi too... probably a factory option...
