Default What are the benefits of the ppg box?

Hi

My car will soon be running over 600bhp the car is fitted with a 6 speed box with a triple plate AP clutch

The question is
Will the 6 speed box still be strong enough?

Also would i be better swapping it for a ppg box as i want to use the car for more track use than road use.

What are the benefits of the ppg?
And disadvantages- i know about the whining

Cheers
Dannytwo

I dont think at that level you'd swap a 6spd for a PPG......

Have to agree with this, the ppg will just break, the 6 speeder's are much stronger overall

i think the weak point of the 6 speeder is the selectors when over 500lbs torque , ring api thay now do the new carbon metallic selectors out of the 08 plus stis £130 for 123 selectors each and £31 for 4th 5th and 6th bargain and the cheaper selectors are the main problem .

i think it will be very hard to find a box that will cope with that power regulally
i have a modena 5 speed dog and i feel like i am dangleing by a thread waiting for it to break.
