Default Intercooler Spray Question - Winter

Do I need to put some sort of additive along with normal water when filling up my intercooler spray bottle in the winter to prevent freezing?

Cheers

Em

Nail head the on hit

I have never had mine freeze up, never add anything to it. Think manual says not to, assuming that there will be a residue deposited on I/C on evaporation?

IF you find the reservoir freezes up in cold weather then I would just add some washer fluid at that point. Usually I find even with just water in my washer bottle it doesn't freeze until I spray it on my windscreen at which point it will smear-and-freeze. This won't be a problem with the intercooler spray as the intercooler will be hot anyway
