Intercooler Spray Question - Winter
Do I need to put some sort of additive along with normal water when filling up my intercooler spray bottle in the winter to prevent freezing?

is it that bad in winter where you are that you will need to?

when ever i top the bottle up i always add a few capfulls of windscreen wash. my intercooler was pretty dirty before using the screen wash now it is looking brand new
|
does that actually work?

if its cold enough to freeze your waterspary water i doubt very much if you`ll be needing it

I have never had mine freeze up, never add anything to it. Think manual says not to, assuming that there will be a residue deposited on I/C on evaporation? dnc |
IF you find the reservoir freezes up in cold weather then I would just add some washer fluid at that point. Usually I find even with just water in my washer bottle it doesn't freeze until I spray it on my windscreen at which point it will smear-and-freeze. This won't be a problem with the intercooler spray as the intercooler will be hot anyway :)
