just to confirm the change of venue and date for the first annual Top Ten shootout event, now Sunday 4th august 2002 at Elvington airfield, nr york. many thanks to all clubs and groups who have supported this move. apologies for the change of venue, as mentioned it was beyond our control with one venue, and a slight risk to use one other due to possible cancellation risk.
i would also like to confirm that the event now has its first major sponsor in RC developments, who are sponsoring trophies and prizes for the Evo, scooby and GTI-R groups.(one trophy/prize each for best drag, top speed and circuit car for each group!)
other groups can of course be sponsored, by tuners or magzines etc. email direct if interested.
the competitor cars list is as it was previously, any changes now or after should be confirmed asap.
Liason people should please ask all confirmed entrants to fill in the form off the website, and email it to us as soon as they are able. they do NOT need to pay until asked, probably april with closing date of may 1st. (payment will then be direct to us by cheque please)

the website has now been revised, and has a link to the venue. a local hotel will be arranged for competitors who want accomodation, please arrange a list of names/numbers if they wish to do so. saturday 3rd august will be a great night for a social evening and chance to meet people and the awesome cars!
York is only 10-15 mins away from the venue, local petrol station also sells Optimax!
spectating will be possible, details close to the event, but each club/group should please arrange a list of names where possible. provisionally 30 spectators per club, in addition to people arriving in the competitors cars. spectators cars will not be able to come on site until after 10am. competitors will be able to enter after 7.30am and must be on site by 9am.
any queries whatsoever just let us know. please ensure all relevant clubs/groups get this information, and that entrants/reserves are fully aware.
anyone not in one of the clubs taking part, who has an exceptional car that would be suitable, can contact us direct.

i havent heard from simon for a day or two, but i'm hoping that the scooby list is going to be sorted to get ten top cars. rc developments have agreed to sponsor trophies and a prize for quickest sccoby!(and evo, gti-r)
