Well basically, i just want something with all the work's done to it & it has to be a classic with bags of power. Ive had my Sierra Cosworth for 10 years & ive always had a fetish for the impreza's specially the classic STi's.

Classics aint bad cars, new age are better for being able to cope with bigger power, go have a peek at this one

Bob Rawle is a mapper with his own company (well known on here) so it will be a good car to buy, especially as its a Japanese domestic market (JDM) twin scroll car and low tax

Between the JDM cars, its about 1290kg for a classic sti to 1430kg for a new age JDM, BUT the spec c's are 1350kg's and the power delivery is far better on a twin scroll car with virtually zero lag (plus the gear ratio's are closer with the new age 6 speed box)
The torque and delivery makes up for the weight plus they handle better

Interesting info mate really helpful, thanks for that. So the weight difference is not huge, compared to a few opinions ive heard . What sort of tolerance can the JDM blobeye STi's take power wise?

They can take 400bhp with ease, normally you would stop around the 450 mark and go uprated internals, but there is one spec c on here running over 500bhp on standard internals, though have a word with Shaun (that's also his user name ) as he is an ex cossie man if I remember right, plus his 2003 car is running over 500bhp
