Stopped by the police
I seen this link a while ago on another Scooby site I am on and after reading a thread on here thought it was worth posting. If you are stopped by the police then this could help.

Some is good advice, some is rubbish, for example:
NEVER... produce your driving licence. Even if you have it with you. This seems to be taken as an admission of guilt.
Ask them to explain why... "they picked on you"... rather than other vehicles you saw doing the same thing. [Under the provisions of the Human Rights Act they will need a coherent explanation... "because you have got a flash car" isn't good enough these days.]
If it is an unmarked car ask how fast they were going and whether that is allowed without warning lights... get them to explain their procedures to you

There is a lot of maybe's and possibilities in there!

Let me know how you get on asking for your mate to sit in the back of a police car, whilst waiting for your copy of PACE to be delivered

Interesting read, not as interesting as the trainer site though (It's gone now)
If you take advice from there I'd carry a large pot of vaseline so the when the truncheon is shoved up your backside for being an arrogent d@ckhead it won't hurt as much. I'm sure the Police love it when someone thinks they know their rights.

Your Response. Try to put the ball firmly back in their Court... say something like... "I'm sure... as a serving Police Officer... you appreciate that it is not within my self-interest to admit to anything. So... why don't you just show me the evidence you have, first... and we'll proceed from there". And then... STOP TALKING!!!
Remain Calm. Always be... cooperative: polite: and respectful
Ok so always be cooperative polite and respectful but then come out with some smart ar$e comment like "I'm sure... as a serving Police Officer... you appreciate that it is not within my self-interest to admit to anything. So... why don't you just show me the evidence you have, first... and we'll proceed from there". Im sure that would go down a treat.....

Generally, the feds only stop you because you were driving like a tit or something isnt legal on your car
Basically,if your fully legal and not a tit, once they have PNC'd your car and its legal thats it.
Be nice, they have heard every excuse under the sun.... unless your a Jedi
