Default Grilling question!!

Will a facelift grille fit a 1993 classic fitted with Morettes....?

The basic answer is no,but if you are able to fettle and fiddle and cut n trim then Yes.

The bonnet catch area is tight and it doesnt line uparound the headlights,but again,if you can fettle then its possible.

i went the other route, got an aftermarket pre-facelift grill designed around the 99/00 model grill,see here

I'm ok with fiddling about a little, thats providing it looks neat...

Simple answer is YES (i've got a '98 facelift grille & Morettes on a '95 STi) ...as Morettes are/were only available as 'facelift' shape.

You might have to push/bend the bonnet release lever up slightly (1-2mm) to clear the grille but that's about it.

Be aware that there are 2 types of 'facelift' grille, pre & post '98 ...pre '98 sits flush whilst the post '98 protrudes out over the bumper a bit, also be wary that if you're buying a grille s/h to make sure that it comes with the clip holders (top left & right) as these aren't available separately

From a stealer then ...comes in 'satiny' black ABS & about £65 iirc

No i'll get a second hand one and sort it myself, I did a standard grille but it doesn't sit right with the morettes, well when their fitted...
