Suspension Help Please
I have to change the shocks on my 98 sport. I dont want to go coil overs cos its not that kinda car.
However the rears must be beefy as there is an LPG tank in the boot.
What other year subaru's have interchangeable suspension as the 98 sport, legacy, wrx turbo etc.
All help welcome

sepends one what you mean,, if you got a LPG tank and theres extra weight then its heavy duty springs you need to stop the back from saging rather than shock choice but if the back end is sloppy/wobbly then its gas dampers you need aswell as its the bounce that the dampers control
the way to look at it is this
the car sits on springs,,,, so the springs affect the ride height, the cars first impact is controlled by the springs compression but the following BOING BOING is controlled by the damper,,,, you can get adjustable dampers to loosen and harsen the rebound adjust should you feel the need but generally caravan springs and gas shocks would be more than enough on a road car
to get MORE advanced there bounce adjustment on the higher end shocks known as 3 ways adjustable but,,,,, for the road you would always be adjusting them on every street so pointless for anything other than track as the ride will always feel ****e

ps: subarus technically have coilovers due to there mcpherson struts all round but they dont have adjustable height adjustment coilovers for corner weighting/balancing the car
