Default Hello First Post.

I have been looking on here for a while but never had the courage to make my first post. I hope to meet a few of you folks at some of the events in the future. I have a very low miles STi 6 which is still standard and I am the second UK owner. It previously belonged to a family friend.
Is the exhaust usually the first modification?

Generally speaking yes but I've had mine over a year now and only just got round to having a cat-back system fitted today - sounds the daddy though:

Impreza Turbo 2001-2005 New Age :

Other common first mod is to de-tango the lights.

Welcome - don't forget to order your scoobynet sticker.

Hi to a fellow Sheffield member
Yes the exhaust is usually the first place to start, most common is by gettting a decat centre section and getting a different back box.
You can also get a de cat downpipe (the pipe from the back of the turbo that joins to the centre pipe) but you will need to fit this again once the MOT is due to be able to pass the emisions.
Once you've removed all the cats, its best to get the standard ecu remapped with a TEK3 remap by a recommended Ecutek mapper, i.e Jollygreenmonster who is a very respected member and mapper on this forum.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I can't put photos up at present because I don't know how to get the photos off my phone but I will work that out.
I have done the spark plugs oil and filter and fuel filter so now I will look in to the exhaust.
Great and thanks for the welcome and help.
