Question Good deal?

I'm looking at an 04 2.0 WRX STi for just under 10k, and I'm just wondering if it's a good deal.

Here's a link to the ad on Autotrader, if you want to have a look for yourself.

Thanks.

Car looks OK, but the mileage is a bit high for the year - if it were me, I'd hang on and pay the same or a little bit more for one with half the mileage.

p.s. My UK Turbo is coming up to 11 years old, and has nearly 10K less mileage than that one !

For a UK car around half that - I know people reckon the 'average' mileage is 12 - 15,000 a year, which is probably true for someones main car for commuting etc... but as a lot of imprezas are bought as second and weekend cars, there are a lot with much lower mileage.

One sold near me recently with a genuine 12K on an 04 car, which is unusual, but cars with 30 - 40K arent unusual.

Not that mileage is a major problem in itself if the car has been looked after, but the higher the mileage, the more parts are getting worn out, and are likely to need replacing in the near future, and Impreza parts arent cheap !

Also consider the mileage you are going to add to it - if you keep the car a few years, then try and sell it on with over 100K, you'll find it much harder to shift.

Yep its overpriced imo, but it is a dealer car. I paid 11K for a 55plate STi PPP a month ago with 40K on the clock.
