Strange noise at 2000-3000 rpm
Can anyone give me some advice!!!!
Recently my 1998 sti has develped at noise at 2-3000 rpm, it doesnt soud like big end knocking more of a tappet noise? this noise seems to stay for a about 20 seconds and then dissapear! , then will come back again randomly!! its realy annoying me!! doesnt sound like a vibration! but its got me scared!!!!

not sure i get tapping when cold but once warm cant really be heard apart from ever so slightly at really low revs... if its only for 20 seconds cant be too serious would not have thought...
