Hello,

I am having some lovley new Discs/Pads (TarOx Japan) fitted on Monday and I was considering painting my calipers to make everything look nice. My Scoob is a N plate which means that it has the unfinshed calipers, not the black ones with Subaru written on em.

The Car is Green Mica with Gold Prodive/Speedlines

So the Choice is
Dont bother
Black (Subtle)
Red (Noticable)
Blue (????)
Yellow is not an option becuase its skanky

Any opinions.

Ps No I cant afford to upgrade the calipers to something decent (yet!)

Dave, as you've already got gold (cough!), then why not take a leaf outta the new WRX STi book of finishing touches?

Gold calipers?

( I hate gold !)

Cool

Had cr@p unfinished calipers - N plate

Now have nice Gold calipers! Car is silver so it does look nice.

I reckon red with the gold and green would go...

Wink

It's hard enough getting round to cleaning the inside edges of the wheels - If you paint the calipers they'd need to get cleaned too

Thumbs up

Personally I would go with red, but then my car is silver with silver wheels...

Might look good with gold wheels/green paint though.

well i have just changed to the MY99/00 6spokes (in gold)on my MY97 red scooby, so i painted my 4pots and rears in RED!!!

looks awesome, dead easy to paint on the car! will hi-light the subaru letters when i hav time! will do them in black.

i think i had enough caliper paint left over to do the whole of the SIDC club!!! shame the pot life is only 4 hours.
taking wheels off and fitting new + cleaning brakes (with the cleaner provied) then painting brakes didn't take long at all, about 90mins or so.
