Brake caliper paint colour?
#1
Hello,
I am having some lovley new Discs/Pads (TarOx Japan) fitted on Monday and I was considering painting my calipers to make everything look nice. My Scoob is a N plate which means that it has the unfinshed calipers, not the black ones with Subaru written on em.
The Car is Green Mica with Gold Prodive/Speedlines
So the Choice is
Dont bother
Black (Subtle)
Red (Noticable)
Blue (????)
Yellow is not an option becuase its skanky
Any opinions.
Ps No I cant afford to upgrade the calipers to something decent (yet!)

Dave, as you've already got gold (cough!), then why not take a leaf outta the new WRX STi book of finishing touches?
Gold calipers?
( I hate gold !)

well i have just changed to the MY99/00 6spokes (in gold)on my MY97 red scooby, so i painted my 4pots and rears in RED!!!
looks awesome, dead easy to paint on the car! will hi-light the subaru letters when i hav time! will do them in black.
i think i had enough caliper paint left over to do the whole of the SIDC club!!! shame the pot life is only 4 hours.
taking wheels off and fitting new + cleaning brakes (with the cleaner provied) then painting brakes didn't take long at all, about 90mins or so.
