They need to be colour-coded to make them look part of the car

P.S
i like the new car now, especially Petes.
it just shows what a bit of tweeking can do

I actually think this conversion (top pic) looks BETTER than the WRC version (bottom pic).

Wow I really like that, totally transforms the looks and make it look far more agressive rather .. still a bit fishy but pike like rather than goggle eyed goldfish

Agree on the colour coding. I must say this has probably tipped the balance for me to buy one now. Must say though I don't know whether coding in the lighter colours ie wr blue would look good but blu black mica yum

Better .... but I'd say colour-coded would be a must ... they look kinda "stuck on" in black .... cheap and plastic

Bloody hell, that is just loads better, more like the mutant MK1 it should have been. If only something could be done about the driving on stilts look it would be on the way to being really sorted.

Your not alone, I think the black plastic looks great. I would now certainly consider a 01 impreza in the future (my00 at the mo')

Thats a vast improvement!
Im stunned, I cant believe that subaru didnt try a few lights, and come up with something better than they did.

Its almost decent lookign now

I still dont like the fact that to make it look good, and go well you have to mod from day 1, but its definately got a chance of looking good by the time the sti has been tweaked.

Excellent.

The new Scoob's back on my shopping list, come replacement time...

...but does anybody know why it has those horrendous, tacky reflectors on the front wings?

Its definitely growing on me now. Pete Croneys one looks v.sweet and with one of these headlight conversions, I could be convinced.

Just wish it looked better 'from the factory'.

Big improvement . But still naff . The whole front end needs to be redesigned with complete removal of the round light clusters.

How many of you would actually buy a set when they are available in march?

I'll be first.

hmmmmmmm,

Now it looks even more like a corolla....

All this "if we add a new exhaust, lights, wheels and spoiler it looks OK and isn't too slow" stuff is stupid. Subaru should have got it right from the beginning.

Cool

I have been after a scooby for some time. Never had the confidence to buy any used performance ( Bound to have been abused) car so it had to be new.

Now I can afford a new one the new WRX comes out. Instant turn off with those bug eyes. After reading about the car It looks as though it is a better cat, stronger, better build quality ( been reading all the posts about drivers side wind noise etc).

Still... I couldn't get over those looks. This conversion has made my mind up. I will buy a MY01 ( I have been tearing my hair out trying to decide to grab a MY00 while they are still about, Wife says go for the new one).

Light conversion needs painting.
