A38 Challenge
Been hearing about this for a few years now in and around derbyshire, it apparently started with mondeo/ 3series/ vectra driving sales reps, and heard it mentioned again the other day for the first time in a long while!
It involves clocking your speed at the last street light on the a38 north after the little chef island just outside derby.
Is it an urban myth or has anyone else heard of it????

It's a relatively short distance but it's a sharp incline and the exit from the roundabout leads into an immediate lefthand bend, hence the challenge. If you go for it, it's best to have a go late at night, otherwise there are just too many cars about and it's not the safest.

I'm sure the challenge is clocking your speed at the Blue Parking sign in the first layby on the A38 north of the Little Eaton(Little Chef) Island - there is no lighting after you leave the Little Eaton island and this applies all the way upto J28 of the M1.
