Default problems after polar chip upgrade

i recently bought a polar performance chip and really just started using my car on longer journeys,

now the problem is , more than not im getting the cel on and the car wont boost at all , its like when it trys its hitting a rev limiter at around 3500 rpm

if i slow right down the light will go out and boost will be fine !!

any ideas

I had no problems with mine, and scott is a top bloke as regards customer services, im sure he'll help you out.
Was the chip the only thing you fitted? Have you tried connecting the cut resistor back up to see it it goes?

if its thrown the eml surley youve checked the code?

Tried a ecu reset after fitting chip?

I run a polar chip and never had a issue to date.

just a bit more info , talked to scott he said it sounded like boost solanoid , ive clean that but its still the same .

i have noticed if your on and off the throttle trying to feed the power in more smoothly it goes better but not right , could it be over boosting or over fuelling ??

any help please im desperate to get it soughted

coil packs goosed?
is the chip holder soldered in properly? is the chip in the holder properly?
try fitting a mbc and setting the boost to about 15psi to iliminate a boost control problem. mbc are not expensive.

reply , scott from p/perfomance fitted the chip so i would imagine thats right !
as for (try fitting a mbc) whats one of those , sorry for ignorance

yes got ya mate manual boost controller

so you think thats the next step for me !

this has just come to mind, thinking about boost pipes , i notice when my heads under the bonnet i may be mistaken but i think i can here a faint air leak or sucking noise from around the turbo !!

If it's leaking, then thats your first point of call. Leaks can cause all sorts of problems!
