Is this in a dyno cell or workshop and have you only got one fan?
I would consider running mine, if I was happy that adequate cooling was in place to cope with my set-up.

Ricky, are you sure your NPS is faulty, I was looking back over your thread. When I was mapping my car with an incorrect ROM, the NPS was reversed meaning my AVCS didn't engage, this caused a lower than expected torque output, you don't have that problem.

Our Dastek 20hp fan is capable of wind speeds upto 100 mph.
We have had supercharged Dodge Vipers putting out 700bhp, Single Turbo RX7's and 600+ hp Supras and managed to keep all of them cool.
TR Racing use our dyno set up to tune their skylines, the latest one was a 950hp beast.
The only time we use an extra fan is when we are tuning porsche turbo's.
Pop down and have a look at our set up, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

We would normally do an initial run to calibrate the dyno. Then we would do as many runs as necessary to achieve consistent results.
On scoobys generally its about 3/4 runs.
If you want to test fit an induction kit and do a before and after run then you are looking at paying for 2 sessions at £40 per pop (while the offer is running)

Nice, friendly guys who were very willing to explain what they were doing and how the various correction factors were used. I'll be back once the de-cat down-pipe is on and the car's been re-mapped to see what effect it's had. Thank you!
By the way - I meant to ask yesterday if it would be possible to have the graphs as JPEG or pdf documents?

I spent an hour or so at the unit yesterday, enjoyed watching the end of a session with another Skyline from TR Racing and then ran my MY99 UK Turbo.

If people want the graphs in jpeg, just bring along a memory stick and we'll put them on for you

TBH your torque is a bit inflated imho, the BHP is more or less spot on. I ran a 12.5 @ 110 with only 345/360 bhp/lbft. There's probably nothing wrong with your car.

[quote=rickya;8803710] Im at a loss as to why its producing 405ft/lb of torque but only 345bhp? quote]
Torque figures can be out if the dyno is not calibrated properly. I'm not saying that this is what happened but it is a possibility, especially as it is making around the right BHP.

405ftlb on a standard VF turbo at 1.6bar boost...... you have more chance of getting a hand job off the pope!
Rickya - Don't worry about it and save your cash mate! If it was the NPS the car would feel as flat as a witches tit!
