Default engine check light

ecu reset engine check light
hi i just tried to reset my ecu, i put the green an black plugs together turned on ignition pressed the gas right down then to half for 2 seconds but there was no engine check light on. i drove round for ten minutes expecting it to start flashing but nothing happened. i could hear a clicking sound before i started the engine but nothing else. ive unplug the connectors now. i think im doing it wrong.

Just disconnect the battery for ten minutes, worked for me.
