Default Any ideas what my wheels are worth ?

Just tried fitting a set of Brembo's to my classic today and found out my wheels don't fit over them

I'm going to have to get another set of wheels now but want to know roughly how much I can sell mine for. They are 18" OZ Chronos with good Toyo T1-R tyres in 215/35/18. The wheels are in excellent condition with no kerb marks and are always sealed with Poorboys wheel sealant to keep them in good condition.

Any ideas ?

not sure what there worth but christ they look good,,,,,, why dont they fit over the brembos ? are the calipers touching the spokes cause if so cant you get the bells skimmed and the brackets skimmed to bring them in closer or buy new brackets,,,,, gotta be cheeper than new wheels,,,, and tbh they do REALLY look like nice wheels too

When I fitted the Brembo caliper and tried putting the wheel back on the wheel touched the caliper and there was at least a 10mm gap between the wheel and the disc so there's no way they are going to fit. As they are 18's I thought they would fit with no problems. I'm actually really pi55ed off at the moment as i've only just bought the full Brembo setup after wanting some for ages and I really like these wheels aswell.

Can't have both though so it's either change the wheels or sell the Brembo's and stick with 4 pots

mate are the discs solid or are they on alloy bells and rotors, if the later then take em to someone who will remake them to fit the wheels

reyland does alot of brake conversions, he could sort them out to fit im sure,,,, even with the stupid gay offset imprezas seem to have

They are standard Brembo discs from an '07 STi.

Standard brembo discs from an 07 sti shouldn't fit your hubs anyway due to the PCD being different

then get rotors, bells and new brackets made, will allow you to keep wheels rather than sell them on to buy another set,,,,, that may or may not fit

is it for a classic btw ?

the offset on my wheels when i tried a different offset the tyres then in the wing, them oz wheels should have good clearence too usually

another alternative is hubcentric spacers,,,,, but i would rather avoid them imo

Yeah it's for a classic mate. I don't really want to have to spend out on rotors, bells etc. I've been told Revolution Milleniums fit and what I was thinking of doing was buying a set and then selling mine to recover some of the cost

Spacers is something I would avoid aswell !

Hubcentric spacers (10mm), I'd fight to keep those wheels !

Shame if you got to sell the wheels m8 they are very nice. You would probably be better selling the wheels and tyres seperate to get more cash.

I have exactly the same wheels on my 03 STi and in the end nothing short of a 20mm Hubcentric spacer will do the job. I kept the wheels in the end cos they're so damn rare, and look sweeeeet.

Oh and Eibach Pro Spacers from Demon Tweeks

Thank's for the replies so far

I really don't like the idea of spacers,I think something like 20mm spacers would be needed to make them fit and i'm really not sure if that's a good idea

If I do change my wheels i'd probably go for something like these:18" Revolution Millenium Anthracite WHEELS/TYRES Subaru on eBay, also, Wheels with Tyres, Car Wheels, Tyres Trims, Vehicle Parts Accessories (end time 21-Jun-09 11:10:37 BST)

Think 7.5x18 with 215's would be better though rather than the 8x18 with 225's ?

What do you guys think to those compared to the wheels that I currently have ? I've been told they will fit over the Brembo's.

I prefer the revolutions. I'd avoid spacers IMO - only ever seen iffy handling and dead bearings on spacers.

As for price, I prefer 17s and tried to sell my speedline GT1s with good toyos. They need a refurb I admit but no one was interest at £250 delivered. Considering £200 to get refurbed and GT1 are not cheap wheels no one wanted them.

Well I haven't got a clue what to do !

I bought front and rear Brembo's in as new condition with discs, pads, rear conversion brackets and larger handbrake shoes for £650. If I go for something else like AP's they are going to cost alot more for just the fronts and then i'll want something for the rear aswell !
