Default Fitting Recaros from an Evo in an Impreza?

Guys, the seats in my 2006 STi are really rubbish- the side support is near non-existent.

I used to love the Recaros in the Evo. Can they be fitted to an Impreza easily?

Thanks

A cheaper alternative maybe for you to look at STI7 seats as they are narrower and way more supportive than the STI8 on seats which I agree offer woefully little support.

You should be able to sell yours for around £450 and pick up a set of decent STI 7 for similar money or slightly less and they will fit straight in.

Maybe have a look at an STI7 for sale somewhere and see what you think of the seats then if they will work start searching as they do come up.

I had this problem with my bugeye WRX - it came with the airbag (non bucket) type seats, offered no support - used to often crash off the seat into the door when cornering hard (serious!).

I changed them for some front seats off an earlier WRX bugeye model, which are the same as the STI7 ones (but just not alcantera / suede) I believe. Seats cost me £100. You could pick up a set from Saj @ Japperformanceparts I'm sure.

For me, it meant making up a couple of resistors or buying a few resistor blocks from a Subaru dealer and plugging them into the original seat loom to stop the airbag light coming on on the dashboard - although I'm guessing if you have an STI already you maybe don't have that issue?
