Default newbie, just brought my first scooby

hi peeps.

have just brought 2002 wrx sti from car dealer with full service history, 1 previous owner, and has 25k worth of work done to it. the engine has been rebuilt, with exhaust upgrade, flywheel, gearbox, clutch, turbo, grade 2 chip, suspension upgrade, ap racing brake upgrade, carbon fibre bonnet and boot. would anyone have any idea what sort of horse power it would be, and how much would it cost to get put on a rolling road?

Welcome
If there are any reciepts with the car then that should tell you what has been done to the engine
Otherwise depending on where you are in the country, there are many different rolling roads, though have a look and see what turbo is fitted to this car, they normally come with an IHI VF35.

wow! that has had some serious work done, i would say that's gotta be around 500bhp maybe more.

2.5 block EJZS (US) 1,400.00 this would be a new engine block, so your car is a 2.5L

if you know who done the remap you should be able to contact them and they should be able to tell you the bhp when they mapped it.

oh and welcome to SN

Hi there and welcome, looks like its been looked after,
where are you located it will help point you in the right direction of a good rolling road,
if you in or around Derbyshire i can recommend Nobles in chesterfield £55.20 that will give you a power/torque figure and boost/fuel so you know how its running.

im based in norwich in norfolk, so if anyone knows somewhere in that area, would be very grateful. one thing i have noticed is the fuel goes very quickly when driving it. also how often should i service the car. it has full service history which i would like to keep up. was last serviced the end of last year. also is it true that u should replace all tires when one is worn. as i have noticed my car has W rated tires on for upto 170mph and i bet they're not cheap.

Hello fella, welcome to the site.

Just re. tyres, you can change all 4 at once (as technically they should wear the same, maybe fronts a little quicker due to engine weight), but you can change 2 at a time as long as they are the same size/profile etc, and in pairs,i.e. front or back pair.

Looks like you have a monster car to play with, it wasn't cheap was it
