Default rollers or live map?

what is the difference between getting the car mapped on the rollers apart from figures and on the road?

thanks

Lets nip this one in the bud:

a) The mapper is the most important consideration -whatever they specialise in
b) Many use both- there are pros and cons each way depending on level of tune, application etc
c) RR mapped cars would be checked on the road for final tweaks
d) You can get figures from both, but I'd argue that the ones that matter are not the bhp etc... but how quickly the car can cover increments like 40-60 etc... In any case it's the area under the graphs you should be looking at not just peak figures
e) Mine is mapped on the road as it is the preferred method of the mapper I use and my own personal preference
f) If your car is mapped on the RRs you don't have to drive it, on the road, you will, or let someone else do it (if you're comfortable with that)

ns04! you've spoilt the thread... was hoping for another rollers vs road debate, the last one was GREAT! especially when the mappers get involved. :-(

I've never been in the debate's as mentioned about but with my lack of knowledge and opinion, I see Rollers as getting the most power from the car, and road mapping it makes the car drive how you want!

JGM is coming to map mine on the road tomorrow.

go for the road map, i've had both and at least with the road your not depressed with the result because you don't know the bhp.

mine was mapped on the rollers last time and i could have cried spent loads and nowhere near where it should be. road map and i would have been oblivious.

no technical points from me as you can see i'm still peed off !

good luck with your map.

I will be going on the rollers a few weeks after my road map, just to see what I am running.
