Default how far do you risk going?

just a quick guage really on how far you continue to drive generally when your fuel light comes on? i am not entirely sure how much fuel is left either when it does come on (is it about 9 litres?). i usually just fill up when my light comes on at between 210-240 miles on average. the only reason i am intrested is if a situation ever did arise where i was somewhere new or the local station had ran out of v-power.

I get about 50 miles out of mine when the fuel light comes on but then i have got a smaller tank.As for V-power i'd find the local tescos and fill up with cheaper but just as good Tesco99

Blimey, I didn't realise people were still that committed to the V-Power myth.

About 50 miles. Bear in mind (on a classic) the needle goes well down, all the way past the bottom of the E on the guage!

I don't like letting mine get low enough to bring on the light, generally just fill it up when it gets below quarter of tank.

10 litres is a maximum of 45 miles in mine....

However once the light is on, I get fuel surge in a straight line, so not worth trying anything silly till it's filled !
