Why do I get blasts of cold air on my legs if I go round a sharpish corner?

Are the heater vents spring loaded?

I havent got air con.

If I have the temp set to hot and pointing at the windscreen all is ok unless I boot it round a sharp corner(like a roundabout),then just for a second there is a draught from floor level,obviously more noticable in cold weather as its the outside temp.

I take it that the draught is coming from the lower vents,just not sure how its getting there.

Maybe leaves in the pipes keeping the shutter open ?

Give it a good blast and see if any leaves fly out.
