It's not as high as Simon was hoping to get but he said he heard a noise and backed off said it might need the shims doing more expense, car still feels a lot better than it did though!

I feel like getting a remap just for the sake of it, after reading all these threads on people getting their cars mapped

I don't know about previous bhp as he did not do a power run with it first but he did say it should have been doing around 270 which is why i'm fairly happy with the end result ,their was no more Simon could have done without risk damaging the engine!
As for the shims i have got to find out about them tomorrow said it was a case of dropping the engine so costly by sound of it.

Simon had a long day then!! I would of stayed longer but didn't fancy sitting on the biggest car park in the world!! (M25) Mine went well i think 370/390 on the rollers with boost tailing off from 1.4 to 1.1 bar but on the road held 1.4ish

Mines the same, the boost trails off on the dyno but holds boost on the road. Strange

Can't wait to get mine done by him (when i can afford it : ( )

Always wondered what mappers did if they find a fault with your car after either of you travelling for hours? I suppose it's just tough luck!? Would **** me off especially if i'd paid £600.

Yeah it was an interesting day I still cannot believe that damn laptop.. I think I'lkl stick with my old one with sticky tape holding it together!

The reason I stopped at 305bhp when yes in theory it should run more was two reasons.. the valve shims are quite noisy and on the dyno it was quite difficult to be 100% sure it was just shim noise.. they need the clearances checking..
On the road I could here it was fine and I actually put a little timing in
The second reason was intake temps.. the standard tmic is getting a bit tired with bent fins whcih I believe was causing slightly higher intake temps.
FMIC on there would probably release a fair bit. It made very good torque though

Many thanks to Bod for collecting that ecu.. I was about to put it back on the rollers and fit my emergency powerFC I have as a temp measure so at least you had a car whilst I sorted another.

Simon
