I was offered about £800 for my ver3 wrx when the bottom end went. He could make back maybe 1500 in parts depending on mods hes got

if he wants to stay in subaru ownership get it rebuilt properly. I just did! took 4 months to save up but best thing in the long run, brand new, forged engine build is the way forward

my bottom end went and i was quoted about £700 for my classic WRX, so decided to break it.

I have almost made that already with the few bits i have sold, if everything is standard, then i probably wouldnt recommend breaking it as you will be hard pushed to make much money.

I still have most of the big bits left on mine.

Breaking is an absolute nightmare also. There will be demand for parts, parts you never thought of selling. You have to almost strip the whole car down to the bone which is very time consuming. Post parts out within good time. Find a courier that will take certain bits (bonnets and bumpers spring to mine )

It is a major head ache from day one... Then you have to shift the scrap at the end!
