Can anyone tell from this pic? Its a 1996 P Reg WRX STi import with P1 front splitter.

Other than getting engine code etc, from pic is there a way to confirm if its a version 2 or 3?

Should be V3 with a face-lift. V2 up to N-reg pre-facelift I believe.

Its a version 3, bigger intercooler than v2 - they did make P reg v2's. 4 pot brakes - should also have red and clear rear lights rather than oranne indicators.

Maybe a bit expensive, £4k tops - try £3750.

Do you have any pictures of the dash? I know that v2 and v3 have the same dash, but from the outside, it looks like a v5 or v6..... so its pretty hard to guess....

Brother in law didnt bother going to see this in the end, seller let slip in email to him night before he was travelling up saying it leaks water during high revs.

went to see this one yesterday and it does have blown headgaskets, lost about 1 litre of water over a 3 mile blast. wouldnt budge on the price either!
