What have i done
Right
On the way to work about 10mins ago i dropped from 5th to 4th and put the foot down. The car was warm at this point.
I go to change gear and hear NO dumpvalve - all i get is LOADS of turbo chatter - It actually sounded like the turbo got flooded with it as it chatterered then it just sounded like it stopped and let loads of air out.
Im STILL hitting full boost tho - No warning lights on the dash - ALL intercooler pipes connected.
What have i done?
Cheers in advance

UPDATE
Took the car back to mine at lunch
the d/v started working as normal again but then about 3 miles later - started doing the chattering with no dump
I assume the dump valve may be goosed/stuck
I stopped, popped the bonnet and gave it a rev - just a chatter no DV movement - Assisted the DV with a screw driver then gave it a rev an it dumped as normal.
Is there anyway to free off the D/V or any reason it would be sticking?
Or could there be another problem

I would say broken DV too, It doesnt sound like it could be anything more serious. If you have a spare DV then give it a go over the weekend and I am sure it will fix the problem. I would guess the old DV will show signs of perishing rubbers or something.

IMHO stop it from getting hot if you can or replace the dump valve as maybe fooked now as melted! etc...
Just kick it down the road and put a blanking plug in!
