Check that your vacume pipe is still connected to the dumpvalve

Diaphragm in DV gone?
I had this problem on my old car - cheapo DV - replaced with a Bailey and problem solved.

Fit the HKS and see if the problem is resolved, if it is then you're sorted, if not at least you know it's not (only) the DV.

I would say broken DV too, It doesnt sound like it could be anything more serious. If you have a spare DV then give it a go over the weekend and I am sure it will fix the problem. I would guess the old DV will show signs of perishing rubbers or something.

Sounds like a sticky dump valve getting very hot!

sounds really silly but mine does it a lot, espech if ive had the car washed i give it a oil and it frees it up again

The rubber/ Diagram inside the dump vale if hot will stick! Common fault!

IMHO stop it from getting hot if you can or replace the dump valve as maybe fooked now as melted! etc...

Just kick it down the road and put a blanking plug in!
