STiv7 5 door available as a UK model ?

I may be wrong (again) but the STI wagon ain't half the car the 4 door is. Lacks the wheels. Lacks the brembo brakes. Lacks the front Suretrac LSD.

...I too would prefer the 5 door, but I suspect that we are in the majority.
I've just seem Rum's STI VII Type UK, all stickered up. It looks superb!
Pics here!

Yeah, I was just trying to make people feel better about the lack of a STI7 wagon..ie it's not the equal of the 4 door..so you aren't missing anything you can't get by PPP'ing a UK WRX 5 door.

I must say that I'm surprised they're not doing it either as I think they're missing out on a decent chunk of the market!
I particularly wanted a 5 door when I recently bought my "old shape" as I have a dog and just know what state the back seat would end up in a 4 door!
Also had a great moment the other day when overtaking a boxster, my dog has now got in the habit of turning round and looking at cars we pass and the guys face was a picture! Now thinking of fitting a false paw to wave at people as we pass ;-)

And I'm another.
As has been said before the 5 door Sti ain't half the car that the 4 door is (Track, brakes diff etc) and so my new motor ain't going to be another Scoob
Probably going to be a 330 sport touring if I can talk the wife out of an Espace !!!!!

me too. I was at the scoob garage on sunday asking about a 5door sti wagon. I own a mountain bike company and need the space..
aww well. PPP'ing the wrx wagon is 1600 quid inc VAT and a short throw shift is an extra 340 or something. I'm not sure...
rdi ltd.

options seem to be import/buy a fugly 5 door, add PPP, quickshift, maybe loose some more cats, tweak the suspension and your getting there!
Euro import scoobs seem to be around £16-17k new!
cheers,
greg

Very valid point by Chuck about the STi wagon not having the front diff, the brembos, and I think narrower track.
Apart from the engine and gear box it's the same as a WRX Wagon (which is no bad thing)
OK, so you could AP 6-pot to sort the brakes, but what about the diff? or the wider track?
Obviously FHI does not think that people would go for a performance wagon, but they should look at the Audi RS2 and RS4, BMW M5 Touring, and Nissan Stagea, as examples that performance wagons are cool and do sell.
I love my wagon, and if/when I change cars I'll probably go for another wagon, at which point i'll probably build my own idea of an STi wagon (as opposed to a WRX hearse )

Has anyone seen these pictures of STi 7 Wagons available at Park Lane? http://www.parklaneuk.net/sales/fullvehicledetails-compucars.asp?model=67&gearbox=*&new=*&vsb=613/--&RSpage=1&ID=10939
From what has been said above, am I right in thinking that these imports are not as high spec as the UK 4-door STi? I presume they are more powerful though? Look great!!!
Cheers

agree,
would happily trade up my MY00 wagon for a wagon STi UK with same spec as current type UK but wagon shaped
anybody keeping score as to how many of us there are? We could approach IM and ask them......suspect I know what the answer will be.
