Perfect WRX - need help...
I have just seen a Impreza WRX Prodrive which is exactly what I am after (price wise and looks wise) bar a few modifications which I would need to carry out.
At the moment, the WRX comes with a low-level spoiler. I understand Scoobyclinic can provide a colour-coded high-level spoiler, fitted for £325. Is there anywhere cheaper for this?
The WRX currently has black-coloured door sills. How easy can these be colour-coded (to WR Blue) and does anyone know where these can be colour-coded and how much I am looking to pay for the privilege. Do Scoobyclinic colour-code sills as well?
I would like a quick response if possible as I plan on going to have a look at the car shortly.

You could probably get a cheaper spoiler from any independent Subaru supplier in that colour.
Scoobyclinic charge about £300 afaik for colour coding (handles, skirts, etc)

Thanks Doc - that is very helpful indeed.
I have done a little more reading and it appears that most people only went for Prodrive as it meant upping the power but keeping the Subaru warranty.
However, I am planning on buying a 2003-04 Impreza so I wouldn't have to worry about warranty. I've just been on ZenPerformance's website and it appears I can get a EcuTek map for £550+VAT so I may just end up getting a bog-standard WRX and then going for an EcuTek map instead of Prodrive.
So my next set of questions...
1. Has anyone use ZenPerformance in Northamptonshire?
2. Has anyone had a EcuTek map?
3. What kind of power can I expect to receive from a EcuTek map?
Thanks.

2. I'd say over half of owners on here have.
3. Only worth doing after some minor mods (e.g. exhaust), then 260-290bhp is possible.

Having researched and read a little more, I've noticed EcuTek on its own isn't going to get 280bhp on its own. Therefore, I have noticed this performance package at Scoobyclinic and the same one is also at Scoobyworld so it seems I will end up going for this package.
Performance Package 1 (approx. 275bhp) Price £1380
3" Stainless Full Exhaust System £495
K+N Typhoon Cold Air Induction Kit £235
ECU Remap £550
Rolling Road Time £100
So which is best; Scoobyworld or Scoobyclinic?
I also understand it will take 2-3 hours for the remap. Does it take much longer form them to fit the extra bit of kit as well? For example, is the car going to be with them all day to do the work?
Any help would be appreciated.

Probably 3-4 hours, they may suggest you change the up-pipe to lose the "cat", not too expensive (parts) but a bugger of a job to do....

Don't bother with the cold air induction kit. It may even lose you some power and the standard air box is well up to the job. You're better off fitting a panel filter (e.g. K&N or Green). They won't give much more power (2-3bhp) but they never need changing (just cleaning now and again).
Spend the money you've saved on an uprated Walbro fuel pump. Not totally necessary, but could protect your engine from running lean.
Check what cats are left in the exhaust on the packages you are looking at. You need 1 in the downpipe to pass an MoT (the car has 3 as standard). If you go full decat, you need to put one on for the MoT. Best solution is a sports cat downpipe. You only lose a few bhp and is MoT legal.
