Hello everybody,

Just ordered some of the Wax Wizards car care products.

What a top bloke Mark Underwood is. He has sent me a couple of huge e mails with top advice and attachments. The guy is very very helpful and he seems to be very dedicated to his work. It looks like he loves it too.

Can't wait to try out the products on my scoob.

Cheers,

Wrexy.

Wrexy - you wont be disappointed.

Just remember - if it doesn't look great, you're probably doing it wrong!

There is a myriad of products, best bet is to work out what you want to achieve and how much you want to spend, then speak to Mark.

Kind of questions you need to think about are:

Do you want the best finish, the longest lasting, the quickest to apply, how often do you polish your car etc etc

cheers,

greg

I'm after:
Polish / wax.
Shampoo to clean car with
And the cleaning applicators eg sponges, chamios leather, and whatever you put the wax on/off with.
Anything else you can recommend?

Question

Mark, read in another thread that your Cleanse & Wax contains kaolin. Isn't this clay (even though can be very fine) and hence abrasive when applied to the paintwork?

Lokokolee

Kaolin is present but 5% by volume. Its so fine its like talc but finer than that. It used as a kinda scoop and add body to the oils etc. Even in dry and unmixed state you can rub on paint with no marking! Its really a coagulant..thickener.

Dominic

U have a reply to your mail. I have been busy making stuff today plus I got 3 kids to contend with nagging me to go skate boarding etc.

Dave...not openly here on the board. If you care to email with the following info then I will be happy to give some options from basic thru starter kit to top of the range complete kit.

I need the following info:

Car and its colour, your current car care regime and products used and the frequency you wash yopur car and pepare it, whether the car is outside 24/7 or not, type of use..workhorse or weekend toy, type of driving you do..city or back lanes or motorway, condition of paint and the amount of swirls/scratches etc. pse be generous wiytth the info so that I can paint a picture. The more info you give me the more info I can feed back.

I also nned to know if you want the same type of finish as you have now with an all in one product, or whether you really want the mutts nuts of a finish which means multi stage preparation. Tell me also if you have leather on the inside or not and whether you would like the engine done.

Another alternative is for me to detail your car for you at your place and leave you suffiecient wax etc so you can look after the car after I have gone.

Dave..the ball is in your court...your move. If I get the info by 10am Sunday you'll have an answer by the afternoon.
