stiff gear change
just bought the car and when trying to change gears quickly its pretty stiff , just had new clutch fitted but got the car with the clutch knackerd so could'nt try before.
any ideas what it could be !

i found the scoob gear box very tight when i first got it as i have a audi also, i have changed oil and it feels better. or maybe i just got used to it.

chances are the GB oil hasn't been changed for a long time, if ever so you should notice some improvement at least. The rest is just a matter of getting used to it!

This is what I got, as recommended by "oilman" of opie-oils for use in both the gearbox and rear viscous LS diff on my 1998 Legacy GT-B.
FYI the gearbox on a manual takes 3.5L and the rear diff takes 0.8L so I got 5L.
