Default clutch , how much and where in berkshire

hello, i just got my first subaru its an impreza jap import thats completly standard and very clean i think but it needs a clutch !!

Subaru Impreza Wrx Turbo Intercooled Geniune 50K Miles on eBay, also, Subaru, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 22-Apr-09 14:09:58 BST)

got it for £2000 probably dear as it needs a clutch but apart from that it seems real good mechanicly.

just wondering what i should be expecting to pay for a clutch fitted ?

cheers

carl

Depending on which clutch you get, they can vary in price between 150 to 500 quid for an uprated one, I would go for something in the middle of that really, 250-300 quid if your upgrading, though 240ps isnt going to eat clutches anyway on a 94 car
Now most people would also uprate/replace the flywheel at the same time, this will add to your cost but it is worth it, so your out and out cost will probably be around 600 ish quid.

for what its worth, i had the smallest exedy clutch they do, the one that's supposed to be for uk turbo classics only?

and i was running that for around 10k miles, and then with my 2.5 conversion @ 390lbft for 4k ish miles without any issues!

just looked through ebay and came accross this company

http://ignitionmotorsport.com/index.html

i spoke to him by phone and hes doing me a exedy clutch fitted and a cambelt fitted for £425 he said if it needs a flywheel scim he has scimmed ones in stock for an extra £25 swap with mine and hes also checking crank oil seal he'll change if need and i pay just the price of the seal . seems a real decent bloke , i think he was saying him and the other fella have there own rally car team, anyways it booked in for wednesday and they only work about 8 mile from me . hopefully all will go well.

cheers for the replys from you lads

carl
