Default WRC NEWS ON SCOOBYSPRINT

Took this off scooby sprint forum, latest update on WRC TEAM

Hats off to those guys, they're really getting behind this, and seem to just really want to support us all (as in the UK Subaru community).

Bear in mind it costs thousands of pounds just to roll a WRC car off the trailer... Nice to see a big company getting behind us grass-roots guys.

They even asked me if there was anything else they could do, and even suggested offering the leading privateer a ride in the co-driver's seat of the WRC car!

So, we've managed to secure the following :

As long as time allows and the car is still in one piece (!) at the end of each event, they're going to give two or possibly three drivers, the co-driver's seat for a high speed run!

These will be awarded to drivers who show especially high spirit or extraordinary performance (regardless of their class), and will be structured so that nobody gets a second run during the season, in order to ensure as many people as possible get a go.

(So that's up to 15 drivers throughout the year, meaning there's a pretty good chance you'll get a go!)

In addition, they confirmed their driver to be the long standing Prodrive test driver, Terry Kaby. Terry is an unbelievable driver (as you would expect I guess), and in fact I heard a while ago it was rumoured he was the Stig! - although I can't get anyone to confirm this.

-

That's the latest.. just thought I'd let you guys know first.

COME ON PEOPLE GET SIGNED UP FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!

this just gets better!!

£50 to race your car round a sprint track and the oppurtunity to have a passenger ride in a WRC car, thats bloody brilliant.

We don't do things by halves mate!

I was starting to think "you know what.. I'm not sure 50 quid for unlimited track time in a Subaru-only championship event, is good enough value for money!" LOL
