Default powder coating inlet manifolds

Has anyone done this and will it be able to handle the heat with regards to flaking off.
Thanks in advance for your comments

Yes, I had it done about 2 years ago and have not had issues with the coating flaking off or the colour fading. Had it done blue just to be a little different from the regular run of the mill red

Powder coating normally cures at 200 deg C for about 10-15 mins so unless your engine bay gets that hot it should be fine
It shouldn't flake off unless the base preparation of the manifold is poor

Look in your local area for powder coaters.
Powder coating is very hard wearing but it's all down to the preparation of the surface to be coated (removal of oil, soil, greases etc)

A member and friend on here had his done recently, looks great, has to be clean though and free of paint, so a trip to a blaster may be needed first

Only the newage sti manifolds must be powder coated, as the with the classic you just needed to look at the inlet manifold funny and the paint would flake off
