For gods sake take it to a reputable dealer/mechanic. It is impossible to diagnose sounds or noises over the internet.

50 people on here could have had a simular noise, but it could have been because of numerous different reasons.

There are a lot of people on this forum that have a good knowledge of the cars mechanical setup, but I am sure they would have to listen to any noise and do some tests to diagnose the cause.

Sorry for the negative post.

They are prone to noisy injectors.

As above. A ticking noise can be noisy injectors, which with the boxer engine means they're on the sides of the block. Could also be tappets, as I had this on my old UK turbo. But as the guy from Portugal said, if in any doubt going to a reputable specialists for a check over is your best bet.

If it's on the drivers side near the back of the engine and the ricking increases in frequency proportional to engine revs, chances are it's just the boost solenoid doing its job.
