boost solenoid? drivers side?

For gods sake take it to a reputable dealer/mechanic. It is impossible to diagnose sounds or noises over the internet.

50 people on here could have had a simular noise, but it could have been because of numerous different reasons.

There are a lot of people on this forum that have a good knowledge of the cars mechanical setup, but I am sure they would have to listen to any noise and do some tests to diagnose the cause.

Sorry for the negative post.

They are prone to noisy injectors.

As above. A ticking noise can be noisy injectors, which with the boxer engine means they're on the sides of the block. Could also be tappets, as I had this on my old UK turbo. But as the guy from Portugal said, if in any doubt going to a reputable specialists for a check over is your best bet. :thumb:

If it's on the drivers side near the back of the engine and the ricking increases in frequency proportional to engine revs, chances are it's just the boost solenoid doing its job.
