Fastest Sat Nav / GPS recorded speed?
What's the highest speed currently recorded in your Sat Nav? No need to tell us where you managed it, since I don't want this thread to turn into yet another bad-driving slanging match. Just recorded speed and vehicle please.
Mine's nothing special at 116mph in my 22B, but I bet there are some much bigger numbers out there.

Dunno. Mine's a Garmin (nothing flash) and stores all the data like total mileage travelled, hours driven, max speed etc. Of course you can reset it to zero, if you want to, so that the missus doesn't know what you've been up to!

This got me in trouble as I borrowed my old mans sat nav once to go to Germany, gave it back and he wanted to know why the average speed was so high!! 168 in my old Honda Integra DC2 Type R!!

Never really push over 100 in the P1 for fear of the engine going pop.....lol
Probably a silly qestion but Turbo2- guessing your 22B has been converted/de-restricted etc.?? How did it feel at 116??
Mines getting it's MOT sorted out this month then will finally get the chance to get it on the road!

I won't make a habit of it though, just in case something expensive happens! To me it's not the top speed that matters, but more the sense of brutal acceleration that impresses. As a P1 owner, this is something I am sure you are looking forward to being re-acquainted with!

Sounds healthy then! Hehe. Yeah, can't wait to get it out and really stretch it's legs
P1 is running a safe 330bhp at the moment so I would imagine it would probably be marginally quicker but who knows! Certainly going to be really interesting to see how the extra capacity and gearing etc. effects the drive
Planning a trip to Nurburgring next year so will be constantly struggling to make a descision over what to take!!

In my JDM 22B (thanks to the standard low gearing), 4000 RPM equates to about 80-ish MPH in 5th (top). A US magazine tested a derestricted one in period and achieved a top speed of 144 MPH at 7600 RPM. A standard P1 is higher geared and can top that (155 MPH at 7500 RPM). Your modified 330 BHP P1 should easily out-run a standard 280 BHP 22B, if that helps in your decision-making! Might well give you more MPG on the trip to Germany too.
