Default Embarassed Porsche Boxter S Driver

Followed a Porsche Boxter S up a slip road onto the motorway this afternoon and I think he ended up with egg on his face.

I was taking it steady (conserving fuel ) but the guy in the Boxter obviously thought "I'll show this **** in his scooby", he caned it in 2nd and 3rd up the slip road, fortunately he didn't catch me mid-gears so I responded well to him trying to wave me good by (literally, waving his hand in the air )

Stuck to his *** all the way through the gears into 6th, by which time we were obviously into "sprited" speeds. I then backed off due to placing value on my license, I caught him up a mile or so later at the next junction where he was coming off and he looked a bit sheepish, having realised that I had more power:weight than him and that he'd actually ended up looking like a bit of a d1ck.

Let me guess. Mid 50s, comb over hairdo, lace back driving gloves and Radio 4 on full blast

No, more the 80's yuppy look. Late-30's, blonde side parting and a general "tosser-esque" look to him

You think that's embarrassing imagine how one guy felt when my 309 was slowly edging away from a boxter s, whilst a guy in a golf gti was crying with laughter.

Nothing to prove from it but that's what you get for goading me.

I was considering buying one a while back, that car has no right to wear a porche badge

Sorry, there are only two reasons people buy boxsters :

1) They cant afford a proper porsche

2) They are hairdressers and have too much money, so didnt buy an MX5

Boxsters are way better cars than most people think. The whole poor man's Porsche thing is a little silly. Drive one in anger and I think you will see what I mean. It's not all about 0-60mph times you know

My intention wasn't to make out scooby's are the "be-all and end-all" of cars, a Porsche is a Porsche at the end of the day, even if the Boxster is much cheaper than a "proper" Porsche.

The issue is that some Porsche drivers seem to think they are kings of the road when clearly they're not. I'm sure they're good/nice cars to drive.....but so's a Spec C

Edit:- p.s. if I won the lottery the GT2 would be in my stable of cars.

The same day I had my car remapped, a 911 tried it on with me, you then realise the huge difference between a fast car and a proper Porsche.

Sorry cant agree there, the cayman drives and feels alot better than the boxster. Maybe the hardtop has somthing to do with it but they were completly diffrent cars.

The cayman is what the boxster should of been in the first place.

And the 911, well its a 911 and you get what you pay for
