Question 08 Sti JDM parts - where can you get them ?

Hi all.

Alright, alright maybe this thread belongs somewhere else BUT...

I am particularly looking for the JDM pink Sti springs for the new 08Sti.

Lower car 10-15mm with slight spring rate increase. Seen them advertised at japancarparts but its all japanese mate !

Who gets the JDM stuff here in the uk ?

Somewhere somewhere knows....

JDM Parts, JDM Racing accessories, HKS, Greddy, Blitz, Tomei and more direct from Japan - RHDJapan can probably help. i have had stuff from them before, whilst they are based in Japan, they are 100% trust worthy and ship the stuff really quickly!

Been thinking of the Prodrive set up but this has been promised every week since Xmas, also have noticed how all the mag reviews on the 330s have not liked the prodrive spring/bush set up but the 330s doesn't have this and the kit isn't available yet.
Me thinks the T20 set up is for me !!!!!!!

JGM is making a visit to see me tomorrow....ho ho

OK Mog, inevitable question - how does it compare with the T25? Those numbers look very similar.

Mickp..I have satrted from a different point as I have a 330s....don't even go there!!!!!, so have the prodrive exhaust to which I added the Litchfield CAI and JGM's mapping.

XRS.. My T25 had 354/394. the 330s has alot more throttle response and pulls very well but is now showing the lack of suspension when driving my favourite roads at a higher speed when compared to the T25.

Thats very interesting. I have an 08 sti to which PPP was added. Ive ditched the Prodrive back box and replaced centre and rear with the Afterburner. That is it.

Dyno'd at Powerstation last weekend at 341/357.

Now you've got me thinking.......

Aem Induction kit.

decat downpipe
2nd decat pipe
deresonated centres section
backbox
remap £587.50 full exhaust was £813 from hayward & scott the induction kit £170 total cost £1570.50

standard power was 296bhp 303ft/lbs so its quite a power jump to get used to

Thats it lol The difference is unreal to say the least only issue really when its greasy on the roads and you give it some say 3rd to 4th it just spins wheels for fun then the traction control kicks in and makes a mess of things lol

Mapped safer than subaru's factory map, There map tended to lean out in the higher engine rpm therefore abnormal combustion was happening I.E det issues 08 sti has cast pistons which dont take kindly to any det what so ever. mine has been setup to fuel slightly richer at top end and has been known to spit flames out for fun from what i was told lol.

mine has done 5000 miles since its remap and gets driven hard most days and is fine. oil change every 3000 miles to.
