BC coilover spring rate recommendations!!
Right...i need some new suspension quick time as i investigated my sagging n/s front today only to discover that the spring was in 4 pieces, yes 4.
A piece fell out and the other 3 are tangled up with each other!!!!..ive been round the nurburgring and silverstone in this state too..lol!!!!!!
Anyway im gonna go for the BC coilovers as ive heard nothing but great stuff about them but not sure which spring rate to go for.
I use my car mainly for fast A and B road blats and the occasional track day.
Ive been told the best combination for me is the 5/4's ...what are you all running and how do you find them in terms of everyday driving and how are they on the track too?

If you do track days regularly 5/4 if the car is predominantly for the road 4/3.
Softer is better/quicker on UK roads where you need good bump absorbtion. If you make the car too hard, it'll really impair your enjoyment of it!
I run Tein Superstreets 4/3 and with the dampers set to modest levels, it's acceptable ride comfort for the road. No way would I go harder, personally. With the dampers on soft, it gets close to being quite comfortable, certainly an improvement over OEM in terms of ride quality over all but the worst surfaces, but that's the pay off for better control.
Never once have I found myself wishing I'd gone for stiffer spings for road use. Suggest you go for a ride in a car fitted with these spring rates and make up your own mind though; suspension is a very subjective thing.
