Hi, I've just picked up a second hand facelift bumper, which has flaky paint. You can pick it off in places.
My question is, will it need to be striped before paint, so the new paint doesn't come off with the old?
If so, will this add lots to the cost of painting, due to labour?
Any sprayers out there have any thoughts?

sounds like its the lacquer thats peeling it would be advisable to have it all striped to get a better finish....shouldnt add that much labour costs

Thanks. The bumper looks like it's been painted badly,bubbles in places, the paint is coming off, revealing the grey undercoat.

yeah sounds like its had a rough respray already. get it done properly and you wont be disappointed
