been promising myself I'm going to do this for ages now .... so today took the plunge, i've taken out my headlights stripped them down, sanded down the part ready for painting, gone to spray on the primer and then read it says to leave the primer for 24 hours before rubbing down and painting .... this could be a problem as I need the car tomorrow for work

I've used halfords grey primer, do I really need to leave it 24 hours, or can I get away with leaving it for say 4 hours ...... help please as my car is currently in bits, and yes I have sprayed ther primer on as I cant wait to do it all again

Temperature/heat plays a big part, put them somewhere warm like an airing cupboard for a couple of hours, it will make the stuff in there smell of paint mind so be warned.
This assumes you have prepped and primed properly, not to thimker coas or it will take an age to dry

Do not be tempted to put in oven or microwave!
