Default please help ecu fault codes

I done a ecu fault check 2day as my car sometimes stutters (holdsback) and idle is sometimes lumpy i got 3 fault codes witch are

23 (MAF) most probably is the problem.

my maf looks like some1 has changed it with a second hand part before coz its got writing on it in tipex like the breakers put on them also the check engine light is not on and i took the clocks out and bulb works fine should i reset ecu then do another check? im thinking some1 may have changed a faulty maf and not reset ecu.

Yes, reset it and drive it for a few days.

Those codes might be from years ago and the previous owner didnt bother to reset the ecu.
