Evening all,

The other day after driving my '99 uk turbo. I pulled up on the drive left the engine running to cool down got out and heard a new ticking noise. Slightly worried I popped the bonnet and had a closer listen. The sound is the same ticking that I only ever hear once the engine had been turned off while it's cooling down.

I'm pretty sure it is this because when I turn the engine off the ticking is in time.

Is this something to worry about? Or do I need to fix something before anything is damaged.

Any help would be a brilllant help/peace of mind.

nothing to worry about its the exhaust cooling down where it gets extremely hot when driving and with the engine running but once the engine is turnt off it begins to cool down and starts making the ticking noise

As has been said just the exhaust cooling down.
The missus can always tell if I've been out becausr the car ticks for about 10 mins after a hard run.
