Ecu's & 2001 WRX
MY01 JDM WRX (GDA) - Soon to be sticking on a ninja sports cat and from there decating it to a sti genome backbox. Got a Greddy airfilter currently fitted, not looking to go down the Induction root any time soon.
So its time to start thinking about Ecu's and remaps.
Scoobyclinic seem to be the closest to me and was wondering if there was any advice on choice of Ecu's That they offer(Autronic, MOTEC, GEMS, Apexi, Link)
Obviously the mapper will take into account my driving style etc (i dont do any motorway miles, just round the town mostly off boost)

Should be fine with the existing ECU, and ecutek remap, unless you plan some serious power mods in the future. Some of the aftermarket ECU's offer extra functionality such as launch control and anti-lag, unless you need this your standard (Denso?) is pretty good anyway. It's not like the older ones which couldn't be mapped.
Speak to your mapper and see what they say.
