A friend has bought a good MKII Escort rally car and desperately needs a navigator for the Heart of England Championship. I am doing the first round with him next weekend at Weston Park but he is looking for somebody to do 6 further rounds.

He is looking for £175.00 per event towards costs and experience would be preferable.

He's an 'entertaining' driver as I have sat with him before.

I carn't do the full season cause i ain't got the cash.

So if anybody fancies getting off their ***** on a few sundays and wizzing through forests / airfields etc then drop me a line and i will put you in touch.

If you haven't got any experience but fancy a go then again drop me a line as we have taught people to navigate before and a few of us will always be on hand at each event to give help.

Sorry mate was in a rush in my last post was at skool!

Neway i really want to get into rallying, co driving would give me some experience so if ur mate is interested in teaching a 17 year old to co drive then it would be excellent,

If he is interested pass any details on to me at

I've got a funny feeling (though I might be wrong) that you have to be 18 to be involved in a rally. Like I said I am not sure if this is the case, I am probably totally wrong.

I might also be interested but I have no experience apart form an interest in rallying and I held the Top Score on the Sega rally arcade game on Brighton Pier for a whole 3 days )

I am hopefully going to be attending some rallying training this year with possibly Bill Gwynne or from the London Rally School.

If you let me know some more details like where and when, etc I'll let you know.

My E-mail address is darlodge@aol.com

Darren

Chris Barn - I'm with Timo on this one - I usually get my event costs paid for and all expenses covered too. Depends on the event and who I'm sat by I may get paid too...

The age requirement for navigating on a stage rally is 16 so you'd be okay there, just need to convince your parents now.

Darren

Send Me an e-mail chris@ashfieldsecurity.co.uk all events are aroubnd mid wales / midlands hence Heart of England championship.

By the way I agree with the others, I have a experience with driving and navigating in rallying and would love to get paid for navigating HOWEVER this is a novice championship and everybody has to start somewhere including if i read correctly the two people who have replied to this thread and in their past have paid to navigate.

Its fun and I believe a sport in its own right (and dare i say probably more skillful if done correctly than driving)give me a e-mail if your interested....
