i had my ecu chipped by sum idiot who burnt the bord sum how enyway i purchased an ecu of an ra. ive had it on the car for about 2 weeks now and its bin great but people keep tellin me that it runs a 5th injector, ive obviously done a bit of reserch and the ra never used the 5th injector it was just put there incase the rally changed there rules, can eny one tell me if its safe to use cheers.

The fifth injector is there for homologation only and it isnt connected. The ECU will be alright, although it may have a higher rev limit.

Better would be a MY95/MY96 Z4 ECU, which will raise the engines output to a notional 260PS, over the 240PS of the earlier cars. Itll run perfectly well on pump super-unleaded fuel too.

as what gc8 said the 5th injectors isnt used and would require a different ecu to run this. i take it the ecu is out a wrx ra instead ov a sti ra else it wouldnt run so well so rev limiter will be same as ur old ecu's hope that helps bud

cheers mate thought so, yeah the rev limiter is higher about 8500 bit more but i aint gona push that ever keep it safe thanks.
