Default WHAT CAN CUASE THIS????

The belt is only split about another inch out of shot.

Thinking about buying a scoob which as had a minor side impact, just need a pass front door and wing but whats putting me off is this broken cam pully.

went to view it and i asked how it had broken and he didn't know, (from a breakers yard)

Anyone know how these things can brake?

dont think i'd touch that unless its still running and all fine, impact might have knocked something or broken the cover and bits have got caught up inetween the belt and the pulley possibly?? difficult to say really

unless u budjet for an engine rebuild dont buy it , possible in the crash something knocked the cam pully if it was running this could have caused bad engine dammage if the belts slipped

Nice car to start a project if you are good at spannering and can get it a bit cheaper......... unusal colour too

The exhaust is non-standard (it came with a peashooter) and it deffo rides lower than OEM (? eibach's fitted) and there's a dump valve fitted.

It might have a few more extra's LOL

the worst will be valves needed on the engine, that pulley, gaskets and cambelt, wont come to more than 600 quid so you will still be quids in

ps: my car almost done that then i thought i snapped the belt driving it to the garage as when in got there it never started again so i priced up the parts
